If we've learned anything from this season's fashion shows in New York and Milan, it's that Gigi Hadid can pull off literally any beauty look like a pro. Red eyeliner? Yup. Neon Eye makeup? Obvi. Gliiter lips? Of course. On Thursday afternoon in Milan, she showed off her most daring beauty look yet when she walked down the runway at Moschino with a curly, cropped bob and bangs. But did Gigi Hadid cut her hair to achieve this new style?
Calm down, everyone — from what it looks like, it's just a wig. Based on the color, which is lighter than Hadid's natural blonde, and the way it sits on her hair, it's pretty unlikely that it's the real thing. Plus, given how many different hairstyles she's expected to rock every day (each show she appears in almost always requires something different!) there's (probably) no way that she would make any serious, major changes to her 'do during fashion month. She's also rocked a bob in the past, at the 2015 AMAs, but confirmed at the time it wasn't the real deal.
Lots of celebs use wigs to pull off temporary drastic hair changes: Kylie Jenner has been known to wear all different kinds (from long light blue to short dark green) and Sia has turned her wig into a signature look. It's an easy way for women to show off a new style without doing anything for keeps.
Based on how stunning Hadid looks with this cropped style, though, I wouldn't be surprised if she decided to make the look more permanent.
Gigi wasn't the only Hadid to try out the short hair and bangs look: younger sister Bella also walked in the Moschino show in the brown version of the exact same style:
