Rob Meets Blac Chyna's Parents On 'Rob & Chyna'

by Nicole Pomarico

I might be suffering withdrawals from Keeping Up With The Kardashians already, but at least there's Rob & Chyna. Even though I wasn't 100 percent convinced that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna made a good couple when they first started dating, each week's episode is convincing me just a little bit more that they might actually be perfect for each other. And on this week's episode, they took a major step in their relationship. Rob met Chyna's family on Rob & Chyna during a trip to Washington, D.C., and her family has some Kardashian-level drama of its own.

And despite the fact that their relationship has been anything but normal so far, it looked exactly like what a visit home would look like for any couple. Chyna showed Rob around her old neighborhood and took him by where she went to school, and then it was time to meet the family — and like Rob, Chyna has a big one. Except for Rob, "big" means five sisters, while Chyna has 11 siblings. That's a lot of people for anyone to meet... or remember the names of. And as normal as their trip may have begun, let's remember that this is Rob & Chyna, and their visit was definitely not without drama.

Exhibit A: When Chyna got both of her parents together for dinner (in the same place for the first time in 10 years!) and Chyna's mom got upset when she realized that Chyna has two other siblings who were Chyna's age, meaning they were all born less than a year apart. And then, of course, there was the visit to the strip club where Chyna used to work. So, you know, the regular stuff.

What I loved most about their visit, though, was that Rob was still feeling insecure about himself and his weight and didn't want to go on the trip, but he went anyway because it was important to Chyna. And he even ended up having fun, too, like when they went bowling... and like when he wasn't the center of attention at dinner because of the other drama going on. Plus, I feel like the drama in his own family had adequately prepared him for situations like these.

They may have put their relationship on warp speed this year, but these are the kind of things that matter in making it work. So far, so good!
