LBDs aka "little black dresses" are not bound by season or trend. They are classics and wardrobe staples, since they can suit so many occasions and are malleable, availing themselves to being dressed up or down. Sarah Jessica Parker is launching a dress collection and it is comprised solely of LBDs. It's called SJP LBD.
Her adventurous fashionista alter ego, Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, from whom SJP has worked to distance herself, would likely scoff at a line of black-only dresses as "boring." But I am certainly not. I'm in. SJP already launched a successful shoe line, but it's time for her to literally step out and expand her brand with LBDs that she herself designed. When can you buy SJP LBD, which is a far cry from her collection at the now-defunct Steve & Barry's?
Sarah Jessica Parker's LBD dress collection is launching in October and will be sold exclusively at Bloomingdale's to start. SJP has posted Instagram videos while wearing one of the LBDs in her line. She did not reveal the exact date of the launch or the cost.
Bustle reached out to Bloomingdale's PR for further specifics, from price to release date to how the dresses will roll out to whether or not Bloomie's will be the sole retailer.
Parker debuted one of the flirty frocks by twirling her way through a revolving door. I'm obsessed. It's as ladylike as it is fun. The Divorce actor revealed that she has been wearing this dress or a while. She kept further details close to the vest, because she wants the first dress to be a surprise.

The caption revealed the SJP LBDs were designed by Parker and were made in the U.S. She stated, "Our first silhouette (a surprise!) will launch this October exclusively at @bloomingdales, with more designs to follow soon thereafter. Including this one, which I've been practically living in."
It looks as though SJP has been test-driving this dress IRL. She appears to have worn it in this video posted on her Insta two weeks ago. I see the same cut, twirl, and back details.
OMG, it has pockets! "Darling" is the most perfect word I can think of to describe this dress.
