The Ridic Advice Trump Gave Daniel Radcliffe

by Loretta Donelan

Now that he's running for president, many celebrities who interacted with previous iterations of Donald Trump have come forward to talk about their experiences meeting him. Like so: Apparently, Donald Trump gave Daniel Radcliffe advice back when the actor was promoting the first Harry Potter movie in 2001. Thankfully for us, Radcliffe recounted the story on The Graham Norton Show: When he first met Trump, he was a nervous 11-year-old about to go on the Today show for the first time. Trump was also on the show that day, and here's how their interaction went, according to Radcliffe:

They sort of walked me over to him and he said, "Oh, hi, nice to meet you." And I said, "Nice to meet you." He said, "How are you?" I said, "I'm quite nervous. I've never been on TV before, I don't know what I'm gonna talk about." And he brilliantly just said, "You tell them you just met Mr. Trump."

While his fellow interviewees, Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake, laughed, Radcliffe reflected on the interaction. "To me, that is the Everest of self-confidence," he said. "Imagine if I'd just been to you," he gestured to Kendrick, "‘When you go on that show, just talk about me. Don't talk about your stuff.'"

Radcliffe isn't the first celebrity to divulge an anecdote about the Trump. These are some other celebrities who have reflected on their Trump interactions in the past few months.

Khloe Kardashian

The reality TV star revealed on Chelsea that she hated being on Celebrity Apprentice.

The actor played golf with Trump once. "He was very Donald Trump-like, talking about the things that he does, things that he has, business interests, properties, stuff like that," he told the Guardian . "But he wasn’t ever mean or rude. I don’t think he asked me too many personal questions, or about what I do.”

Sacha Baron Cohen

The comedian has spent years feuding with and pranking Donald Trump, including interviewing him in character as Ali G.

Cyndi Lauper

The singer and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant had some harsh words for Trump.

While I'm still pegging Radcliffe's as the funniest, these are all pretty interesting too.
