He's Still Got the 'Footloose' Moves

by Emma Goddard

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Footloose, Jimmy Fallon pretty much did the best thing a host could ever do on their late night NBC show: He invited Kevin Bacon to perform a Footloose dance on The Tonight Show. Seriously. The Kevin Bacon, performing Footloose in 2014, complete with white converse, hip-thrusting, skin-tight jeans, and white tank top. THIS WAS REAL LIFE.

It all started when Fallon began discussing Footloose, noting that dancing is actually illegal on the set, to which Bacon (the actor, of course) responded with some killer choreography that made panties drop throughout the nation. There was a lot of spinning and twirling and things that the average person can't pull off because they are not Kevin Bacon, and it was all perfect.

Things got especially sexy when Bacon brought back the maroon blazer and black bowtie, all to show off his still on-point dance moves alongside other dancers. Oh the nostalgia! And the best part? Now, dancing is officially legal on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and it's all thanks to the Footloose actor himself and his sweet, sweet moves. So watch the video below and forever thank the Fallon God for bringing dancing Bacon into your dreams tonight. You’re welcome.
