'Bachelor in Paradise': Who Should Be Cast on the ABC Spin-off?

Instead of Bachelor Pad, this summer ABC is debuting a new show: Bachelor in Paradise where contestants will be shipped to a tropical island together. Centered less on money and more on love, the show promises “twists, shocking surprises, unexpected guests and some of the most unlikely relationships in Bachelor history, plus all the usual romance, drama and tears we’ve come to expect from the Bachelor franchise."It sounds amazing, but we can't wait until this summer to see who they pick to feature. So we've developed out own Bachelor in Paradise dream cast with 15 of the most deserving, or most dramatic characters from years past.

Blakely Shea

The previous Bachelor Pad resulted in an engagement for her, but ultimately she and Tony Pieper broke it off. But perhaps Bachelor in Paradise will allow her to find someone to actually walk all the way down the aisle with her.

Molly the Dog

I suppose her owner Kelly can come along too, but really I just want to see Molly playing in the sand and frolicking in the ocean. Maybe ABC can bring in some male dog choices for her and she can pick her own boyfriend. I know we’d all watch that.

Lucy The Free Spirit

Duh. She makes everything better and then maybe we’d get a new song out of her.

Arie Luyendyk Jr.

When he turned down the Bachelor position it was a sad day for America. Arie has looks + wit which makes him perfect for reality television. Plus he’s totally in to dating fellow Bachelor Family member because he had a brief fling with Courtney Robertson.

Courtney Robertson

Remember when Kalon McMahon from Emily’s season kind of turned around his “jerk” reputation on Bachelor Pad? Courtney should be able to do the same. Contestant Ali Fedotwosky has said she’s not as bad as we think and we want to see that.

Ben Flajnik

Speaking of which, Ben was portrayed as the victim in the Ben/Courtney relationship but since then he’s kind of dropped out of the Bachelor Family entirely, while Courtney has stayed in. Perhaps he was the true villain? That’d make for some good TV.

AshLee Frazier

She was kind of cray during Sean’s season, but only because she really really wants to be married. Last October she confirmed she was dating fellow contestant Michael G. but we don’t know what came of that. Whether she’s with him or not she deserves a trip to a love island, to find her one and only.

The Massage Girl

Also known as Amy. She was a little nuts on Juan Pablo’s first night, but in the behind the scenes piece ABC aired after she got sent home she was really normal and sweet. A combination of being on camera and nerves probably made her a little weirder than was advisable, I’m sure. But she truly wanted to find love, so maybe this will be her big chance. Or maybe she’ll just be weird again. Either way it’s good TV.

Jef Holm

Emily Maynard picked him during her season but they didn’t make it to the wedding day. He and Arie are Best Bros though, so it’d be fun to get them back together on TV and to also give Jef another shot at finding his soul mate.

Drew Kenney

He’s an adorable puppy dog and if I can’t have him, someone should.

Fantasy Suite Guy

Jonathan Vollinger started Desiree Hartsock’s season off with a bang when he asked her to join him in the fantasy suite ON NIGHT ONE. She said no because she’s classier than that. #FantasySuiteFail. I want to see if he tries that ploy on any other Bachelor women.

Zak W.

No-shirt Zak will be right at home in an island setting.

Sharleen Joynt

As much as we doubt she’d do the show, we need more normal girls like her on these crazy shows.

Clare Crawley

She’s really proven herself to be quite the feisty, confident woman these past few weeks. Rumor has it she’s dating, but if that doesn’t work out we’d love to see her fall in love with a not-so-jerky Bachelor member.

Mikey T. and James Case

These were the baddies of Desiree’s season and I don’t want them to find love so much as they were just ridiculous to have around. Every season needs a villain, and they’d be perfect for the job.
