A Piece Of Kim’s Jewelry Was Reportedly Found

Here is some unexpected news regarding Kim Kardashian's robbery. According to TMZ, a piece of Kim Kardashian's jewelry was found thanks to the robbers leaving it behind and a person on the street finding it on the sidewalk outside of Kardashian's Paris, France apartment the day after the robbery. It is reportedly a platinum mounted diamond cross from Jacob and Co. and allegedly worth $33,180. TMZ reports that police are doing a DNA test on the piece of jewelry. According to the New York Daily News, Kardashian was spotted wearing a cross pendant two days before the robbery. Bustle has reached out to Kardashian's rep for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.

At the time of the October armed robbery, it was reported that over $10 million worth of jewelry was taken from the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star. According to E! News, one of her rings worth an estimated $4.9 million and a jewelry box worth around $5.6 million were taken, though has yet to be confirmed, because it still remains unclear which items were actually stolen. Bustle also reached out to the Paris Police Prefecture regarding the robbery news and they provided the following statement: "We are not able to respond to your request because a judicial inquiry is opened only the Paris Prosecutor's office which can communicate to the press and the public and to not interfere with ongoing investigations."

It hasn't been made clear if any of Kardashian's jewelry would be recovered. However, as "ex-jewel thief-turned-crime-prevention advocate Larry Lawton" told USA Today about whether or not Kardashian would ever see her jewelry again, "They’re gone." He added, "Within a few days, they're gone. They're fenced. You're looking at [a specialized and organized] distribution network, that's how you get rid of high-dollar things. You don't go to a guy on the corner and say, 'Hey, I got this ring from my grandma.'"

To hear that a piece of her jewelry has reportedly been found is not only surprising, but could also potentially be a huge clue to who robbed the reality star at gunpoint if any DNA is found on the jewelry that may or may not belong to Kardashian.
