Missguided+'s New Campaign Is Totally Unretouched

If you don't recognize Barbara "Barbie" Ferreira yet, you will soon. After signing with Wilhelmina in 2015, Ferreira began booking projects with Aerie, i-D and Teen Vogue, and started gaining prominence as a plus size style and body positivity icon. Now, Barbie Ferreira will be the face of Missguided+'s completely unretouched fall 2016 line.

The partnership just makes sense. Missguided is all about being bold, sexy and confident, and their Missguided+ collection empowers everyone to express themselves through fashion by providing options in sizes beyond the typical size range of 0-10 at affordable prices (Missguided+ includes sizes 12-20).

Ferreira talked about the partnership in a statement saying:

"I loved working with Missguided on this new campaign. The clothes are a statement, and anyone can have access to this collection. Missguided doesn't exclude anyone's beauty and they provide a range that isn't like anything else. The clothes are fearless and just in a few extra sizes. The collection can let you be a badass b*tch without an asterisk or a label."

Missguided also gets bonus points for refusing to retouch its Fall 2016 Missguided+ campaign featuring Ferreira, because, hello, realistic body standards are totally in right now and there's no reason to perpetuate unrealistic ones.

It definitely seems like a natural partnership, because Ferreira is fierce AF.

And a body positive role model.

Not to mention, stylish.

So hopefully this turns into a long lasting partnership.
