As you may have noticed from NFL players's pink cleats during the last few Sunday games (which is one of the only ways my boyfriend can get me to watch them), October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To help raise awareness for the disease, countless fashion and beauty brands are donating proceeds from their sales this month to various breast cancer charities, and another one of our favorite lines has joined in on the good-doing: Enter: Stila X #BreastCancerAwareness.
For the month of October, Stila is offering 40 percent off of select products with the code BCA, and will donate all proceeds from the sales to The Foundation For Living Beauty, which provides support and education to women living with breast cancer. The initiative was inspired by Stila Executive Director Sarah Lucero's own battle with Stage 3 Breast Cancer who found solidarity and sisterhood through The Foundation of Living Beauty. "Makeup isn't just about outward appearance," says Lucero, "It's about helping you feel beautiful."
Because of this, Stila went above and beyond just including "pink" products in their initiative. Lucero drew on her own experience to make sure the collection included products that women undergoing treatment would want to use, such as lip glosses, brushes, eyeliner and color correctors.
