Benedict Cumberbatch May Have Some Major News

You better start thinking of names with alliteration, because according to E! News, Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are having another baby. No other details have been released and nothing has been confirmed or denied, but there's a chance the couple is expecting their second child at some point in time. According to the Daily Mail, at Thursday night's Doctor Strange red carpet event in Los Angeles, Hunter was allegedly sporting a baby bump. Maybe that flowy dress of hers was intentionally hiding it? Again, this is just all speculation right now. Bustle has reached out to Cumberbatch's rep for comment, but has not yet received a response.

Update: Cumberbatch's rep has confirmed with Bustle that they are indeed expecting their second child and "everyone is absolutely thrilled."

Earlier: In June 2015, the Sherlock star and Hunter welcomed their first child, a son. At the time of his birth, Cumberbatch's rep released the following statement, "Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son. We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks." It wasn't until September when People confirmed they named their baby boy Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch. Not only is it a strong name, but that alliteration is on point.

If they truly are having another baby, then here's hoping they choose another name with alliteration. It would be disappointing if they didn't, right? Knowing Cumberbatch and Hunter, they are an extremely private celebrity couple, so who knows when or if they'll even comment on the rumored baby news. Until then, fans of the duo will just have to patiently wait to see if anything comes of it. There's a good chance Hunter will give birth before they even announce they're expecting.

Whatever the case, Cumberbatch's second child may be completely a myth, so don't get too excited just yet. Maybe try to binge and refresh your mind about Sherlock (it's been on an excruciatingly long hiatus) to take your mind off of it.
