Everyone's favorite, favorite event is coming up: the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, our annual spectacular of beautiful bras, bodies, and Maroon 5. Wondering when's the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show? Mark your calendars for now — the Cirque Du Soleil-level show was just announced for Monday, Dec. 5, airing on CBS at 10 p.m.
The timing's pretty standard protocol for the Victoria's Secret event, but in a change of pace from past years, this year the show is going European. Leaving behind their Madison Square Garden home base, the show is heading to Paris for the first time, complete with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the show. There's no info at the moment on when it'll air, but TBH I'm hoping for a Rugrats in Paris-type vibe, ideally featuring Adriana Lima in a beret holding a baguette (although given the strenuous diets and training that goes into Victoria's Secret show prep, I'll admit that is perhaps not likely).
But on the plus side, all the show's favorites are slated to appear, among them Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge and Martha Hunt. Hunt's joked about Tindering with bestie Taylor Swift before, so if it can't be Rugrats in Paris, maybe at least it can be the Olympic Village in 2016.
As usual, the show will include pink carpet interviews, model profiles, and to-be-announced musical performances, but so far the only thing to go on is the Paris announcement. But on the plus side, it's a telephone montage for the ages of the signal going out, and the accompanying Instagram post features a sick psychadelic print dressing gown.
Maybe next year they'll rig up a bra signal in the sky, because if Victoria's Secret does one thing well, it's raising the bar (/breasts). Might be difficult, given past shows' contraptions.
But that's practically the Victoria's Secret motto. Better or bust, pun intended.
