Audrey Will Be The Lone Survivor On 'AHS: Roanoke'
So, Wednesday night's episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke (or should I say, Return To Roanoke: Three Days In Hell?) was an insane rollercoaster ride of pulled teeth, sliced flesh, and lots of murder. Sounds fun, right? Fans should have probably been somewhat prepared for this level of carnage because the show informed us in Episode 6 that everyone dies except for one of these people. There are only two episodes left in the season, so rapid murders were really the only choice here. Now that the series is almost at the end, I am thinking that Sarah Paulson's Audrey will be the lone AHS survivor.
Hear me out. I know that Audrey is insufferable and absolutely self-obsessed. Sarah Paulson plays the narcissistic actor to perfection. At one point during Wednesday's episode, she was fixing her hair in her compact mirror after a night of complete carnage and having her own teeth yanked out of her head by Mama Polk. That's dedication, and it is exactly why I think she will be walking out of this house in the end.
Sure, she is not the obvious choice for a survivor. Lee is clearly the stronger, more capable of the two women if you are looking at them on paper. The problem with Lee, though, is that she makes some stupid choices. She drags them back into the forest to retrieve the tapes of them murdering the Polks because she is worried about her own reputation. Audrey wanted to get the hell out of there, and I think that is where a winner's head should be. Also, her hubby Rory was the first one to bite it, so it would be somewhat poetic for her to survive to the end.
She also has one other advantage over Lee:
If I was questioning whether or not Audrey would be the lone survivor, her fate was solidified for me when she fought back against Mama Polk even while she was shackled to a chair and being threatened with pliers. She may be a whiner but she will fight until the bitter end because she has to avenge Rory and dammit, she paid good money for those teeth!
Let's hope I am right and Audrey battles her way out of the front door of that house of horrors.
