Lifetime's 'Who Killed JonBenét?' Cast Is Spot-On

by Alaina Urquhart-White

After a deluge of television specials surrounding the murder of JonBenét Ramsey flooded into our TVs in September, it felt like viewers had seen the case from every possible angle. However, there is one way that the case wasn't depicted this year: as a scripted movie. On Saturday night, Lifetime will change that when it airs Who Killed JonBenét at 8 p.m. The movie portrays a fictionalized version of the events leading up to and following JonBenét's murder, which is clearly different from the documentaries and specials that were released earlier this fall. And because it's a movie, instead of the real people involved in the case, Lifetime's Who Killed JonBenet? features a cast that is incredibly convincing.

Like many of the network's films, Who Killed JonBenét? includes a mix of newcomers and more familiar faces. In this case, the people you're more likely to recognize are the actors who play John and Patsy Ramsey, while the child actors who portray JonBenét and her brother, Burke, are relative newcomers. Here's what you should know about the cast of Who Killed JonBenét?, along with photos of them and the real people they're portraying so you can decide for yourself if they fit the bill.

Payton Lepinski as JonBenét Ramsey

This rising star is a total newcomer to the acting world, and this is quite a role to take on as her first foray into Hollywood. The 6-year-old bears an uncanny resemblance to JonBenét, so it's easy to see why she was cast, even without any prior roles.

You may recognize Campbell from Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Still Standing, Dexter, Austin & Ally, Awkward., and more. Actually, you might not, because she steps right into the role of JonBenét's devastated mother, and does it to perfection. With the power of movie makeup, she looks exactly like Patsy.

Gill has been on a ton of hit series lately, including Mr. Robot, The Get Down, and House of Cards. He definitely looks like John and seems to have his voice down really well too.

Kiefer O'Reilly as Burke Ramsey

Unlike Lepinski, O'Reilly already has some credits to his name and has appeared on Legends of Tomorrow and in some films and TV movies. In Who Killed JonBenét? he's styled to look a lot like young Burke.

Lifetime's Who Killed JonBenét? is worth checking out for the cast alone, and if the docuseries that aired this September piqued your interest in the case, it should certainly be interesting to see how the fictionalized movie plays out.
