Jerry O'Connell Cast in 'Veronica Mars'

The Veronica Mars movie cast just got a little bit fuller: Jerry O'Connell is the latest actor to sign on for a role in the highly anticipated film. O'Connell will play Sheriff Dan Lamb, the brother of Don Lamb (Michael Muhney), who was killed off during the show's third season.

The movie's YouTube channel released a video featuring O'Connell talk about his role in the film:

O'Connell is one of several actors to take on new roles in the film, including Martin Starr, Justin Long, Andrea Estella and Gaby Hoffmann. The Veronica Mars movie, set to be released in 2014, will be written and directed by series creator Rob Thomas and will star Kristen Bell as the title character.
