Tory Burch Is Officially Moving Into Menswear and Activewear
- As an elite member of the fashion world (and new billionaire), Tory Burch is constantly expanding her brand. And, with a new announcement, Burch is officially continuing her domination of the high-end fashion industry by introducing menswear and activewear into her already thriving lineup.
The announcement that she'll be entering the menswear market confirmed a rumor that has been circulating for some time. The forthcoming line is said to feature an accessories collection (headed by Jeffrey Uhl) that will include small leather goods, tech accessories, belts, and possibly footwear.
Burch also plans to debut a line of activewear, which will include running, yoga, golf, and tennis gear.
"I find a lot of women wear what they wear to the gym all day long," Burch said.
According to WWD, the announcement also included news of the brand's international expansion. Burch is currently focusing on Europe, with stores in Paris, Milan, Zurich, Frankfurt, and Cannes listed as possible locations. The fashion mogul estimated that Europe could come to represent a whopping 20 percent of her business. Burch also mentioned the possibility of locations in Indonesia and Malaysia.
While the dates of international store openings as well as the activewear launch have not yet been released, the Tory Burch menswear line is said to be available in stores as of spring 2015. What's the chance that Chris Burch will be picking up these threads come next spring?
