Target's Black Friday 2016 Sale Is Not To Miss

by Rachel Nussbaum

This is the mother lode. Black Friday sales are known for inspiring huge crowds, and nowhere is that more true than Target (which is usually low-key packed on most days). But Target's Black Friday 2016 sale was just announced, and as ever, these deals are worth fighting for — or clicking rapidly for, if you're sticking to your screens for this one.

The site automatically gives you a catalog of the deals that'll be available Thanksgiving day, but the best move is clicking through to "category view." The majority of deals are in Home, Electronics, and Toys and Sports, so if you're shopping for any of those things — or buying presents, like the most holiday-ready shopper on the block — go crazy.

The selection for Health and Beauty has slightly less dramatic savings, if only because the items are already lower priced than electronics, but there's plenty to get pumped about. Lovers of Target's fragrance selection will be pleased, with the store offering 30 percent off all men and women's designer fragrances. CHI flat irons are another hot item at their lowest Target price of the year, while e.l.f. holiday gift sets are listed at $8 apiece.

There are also some great buys in the health electronics arena that are worth checking out if you've been considering getting a fitness tracker for a while.

Apple Watch Series 1, $198, Target.com

The Apple Watch's health apps have won rave reviews — maybe just start wearing it after Thanksgiving.

Fitbit Alta, $99.95, Target.com

The Fitbit Alta offers a sleek way to stay on top of your steps. Definitely check back to see if Target's website adds any additional deals before Thanksgiving.
