Sia & Her Husband Erik Anders Lang Are Separating After 2 Years Of Marriage

Another celebrity couple unfortunately has called it quits. Sia and Erik Anders Lang are separating after two years of marriage, the couple announced in a statement released to People on Wednesday. "After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple,” the statement from Sia's rep reads. "We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends. There will be no further comment."

They first married in August 2014 at the "Cheap Thrills" singer's Palm Springs, California home. Their marriage came only two months after Lang hinted at their engagement on Instagram in June 2014 with a close-up photo of a woman's hand wearing an engagement ring. Lang wrote alongside the picture, "That's an engagement ring folks." The photo has since been removed.

Their relationship wasn't something they talked about in the open often. It wasn't until April 2015 (eight months after they got married) that Sia confirmed she and Lang did indeed tie the knot. While chatting with Australia's Nova 69.6 (via and after being congratulated on her marriage, Sia replied, "Thanks." She added, "He's met mum. He met dad for the first time yesterday. They actually fell in love with one another and that was awesome. It's pretty cute."

It's always a bummer when a celeb couple goes their separate ways, but it sure sounds like Sia and Lang will strive to remain close friends. What more could you ask for?
