'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Spoilers Give Us Answers to All Our Burning Questions
After last night's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we were left with a lot of questions. Who is Melinda May working for? What was with the weird vibes between Skye and Ward? Why is Victoria Hand suddenly turning on Coulson's team? And most importantly, who is this Clairvoyant?
The answers to all of those questions are at least a week away. But thanks to images from next week's episode, "Providence," there's a few clues as to what will happen. Here's what we can deduce from the images:
Patton Oswalt is a Guy with a Badge
Patton Oswalt is guest starring in next week's episode, as promised. Honestly, it's surprising that this is Oswalt's first time guest starring in either a Marvel property or a Joss Whedon project, since both of those things are kind of in his wheelhouse. He will play Agent Eric Koenig, who according to the Marvel Universe is a former Hitler Youth turned S.H.I.E.L.D. agent...so something tells me Oswalt's version of the character will probably be a little different. Either way, looks like he has a pretty cool badge to carry around and flash at people, so there's that.
Glenn Talbot is on Coulson's Trail
The promo photos don't actually say much, but they do say that in next week's episode, "With Colonel Glenn Talbot now on their trail, Coulson and his team seek refuge in the last place anyone would look, where they begin to uncover S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most dangerous secrets — secrets that could destroy them all." In the photos, Colonel Talbot looks like a very angry military dude. In the Marvel Universe, he's known for being the foil for the Hulk, the stern man who's always trying to take down Bruce Banner's volatile alter ego and even married Hulk's true love. So why is he chasing after Coulson?
Agent Garrett is Working with Raina
Thought Agent Garrett was a good guy after last night's episode? Well it looks like you might have been wrong. In the photos from "Providence," Garrett is standing with none other than Raina and Ian Quinn. And they're not just hanging out after work, either — they're standing over burned and disfigured corpses in what looks to be a morgue. So unless Agent Garrett is working as a double agent, don't expect him to stay on Agent Coulson's side for much longer.
