9 Best MTV Movie Award Moments of All Time

by Kadeen Griffiths

The MTV Movie Awards are pretty much known for being memorable. Not because of all those awards being given out and all those red carpet interviews and all those celebrity clothes. The show runs entirely on viewers' choice, which means it's more or less the only time a year viewers are even watching MTV. This year, the awards will be hosted by Conan O'Brien while Tyler Posey and Zendaya Coleman take the reins on the live pre-show. While we wait around for April 13 to come, it's hard not to remember the magic of Movie Awards past.

The MTV Movie Awards have been going on since 1992 and while it's a stretch to say we can expect something hilarious or outrageous to happen every year, it's still racking up a pretty impressive track record on moments that stay with you for a lifetime. The list is endless, but as the 2014 MTV Movie Awards draw closer and closer these eight moments are the ones that stick in my mind the most.

1. Bruno Drops In on Eminem

Finding out later that it was all staged didn't make this moment any less shocking, although it would have been less surprising if he had chosen any other target. Sacha Baron Cohen was known for Borat and was in character as Bruno, which were both highly and hilariously inappropriate. Eminem storming out afterward was what really sold it.

2. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner Kiss

It seems I wasn't the only one getting tired of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart winning Best Kiss year after year. Especially since they kept teasing us with stage kisses that never came. This was the best fake out by far, however, and watching Robert Pattinson settle the Team Edward/Team Jacob debate by running out into the audience to lock lips with Taylor Lautner was the best.

3. Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake Get In Touch With Each Other

Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake had undeniable chemistry in Friends With Benefits, both in the movie and in promotional material for the movie. However, when they took the stage to assert that they were very, very platonic friends, their actions were speaking much louder than words. Then again, if you can say that with a straight face while holding a handful of your friend's boobs, then I think we owe it to you to believe you.

4. Seth Rogen and James Franco (Don't) Get High

Seth Rogen and James Franco didn't want us to get the wrong idea from Pineapple Express. Naturally, they decide to do this by showing the audience all the weed that they don't smoke with all the joints they don't have with all the lighters they don't use to light that fake joint full of weed on stage in front of people. Because they don't do that. And neither should children.

5. Lindsay Lohan's Shameful Dance Routine

Remember the LiLo of Mean Girls fame? Back before... everything, she was a charming little redhead who just wanted to make her parents proud. By dancing, even though it's for sluts. As her outraged "parents" looked on, Lohan paraded around thrusting out her midsection like some kind of Macarena hip hopper. And it was glorious.

6. Rainn Wilson's Teddy Bear Underwear

Remember that time that Rainn Wilson helped Megan Fox announce Best Kiss and Megan Fox gave him her bouquet of flowers to cover himself with because that teddy bear was not cutting it? Of course you do. No matter how you might try to forget it, you probably never, ever will. And neither will Megan Fox.

7. J. Lo and Tom Cruise Get Back (You Don't Know Me Like That)

There were a lot of amazing parts of Tropic Thunder, but Tom Cruise as Les Grossman was one of the best parts. Apparently, his dance number during the credits was just not enough Grossman. He and Jennifer Lopez took to the MTV Movie Awards stage to prove that.

8. Seth Rogen and Danny McBride Fight for Best Bottomless

Poor Zac Efron was forced to watch with the rest of us as Seth Rogen and Danny McBride took it upon themselves to institute and then judge their own Best Bottomless competition. Rogen not having shaved in a while and McBride's chastity boxers were bad enough, but Rogen pulling the key to McBride's chastity boxers out of his "bush"? It was just ridiculous enough that even Efron had to crack up.

9. Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence being anywhere is an automatic best moment, but when she responded to her win for Best Female Performance by looking genuinely sad that she couldn't eat her award, it more than made up for her being unable to attend the actual ceremony.
