Tina Fey is the New Face of Garnier Skincare

Tina Fey can add yet another gig to her list: the beauty world announced today that Fey is new spokesperson for Garnier Ultra-Lift Skincare.

Fey has been the face of Garnier Nutrisse hair color since 2011 and will replace Bridget Moynahan who previously fronted the skincare line since 2009. In the press release, the beauty brand said the following about their new spokesperson: "Garnier embraces the inherent self-confidence and beauty of acclaimed writer, producer, actress, mother, wife and leading funny-lady Tina Fey."

David Greenberg, President of Maybelline New York, Garnier and Essie, spoke about the success Fey has brought to the brand, saying, "Tina's personality, beauty and approachability resonate with our consumer and we are thrilled to keep her in the Garnier family."

I couldn't agree more. While Fey may now be representing a major cosmetic company, she still keeps it real when it comes to her thoughts on her own beauty. In her book Bossypants, Fey said this about accepting herself:

I wouldn't trade the small thin-lipped mouth that makes me resemble my nephew. I wouldn't even trade the acne scar on my right cheek, because that recurring zit spent more time with me in college than any boy ever did.

Fey has yet to make a comment about her new role, but from the looks of her first image from the campaign, which reveals a smiling, glowing Fey, it's safe to assume that she's more than happy to be the face of the brand.

The ads for the new skincare campaign will appear in print and TV later this month.
