This Actress Has Played a Teenager for Over 17 Years

by Kaitlin Reilly

She just might be the television equivalent of a vampire. Thirty-four-year-old actress Bianca Lawson has played a teenager for close to two decades. Her first credited role was in the 1994 pilot of My So-Called Life, where she played "Third Bathroom Girl." Clearly, that was her big break, because following that spot, Lawson had a stint on Saved by the Bell: The New Class as teen Megan Jones.

From then on, she's had roles on Smart Guy, Sister, Sister, and even Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In 1999, she played the role of Nikki Green on the high school show of our time, Dawson's Creek. But, wait — her NEXT major TV role wasn't until ten years later, when Lawson played a recurring teen on The Secret Life of the American Teenager — a show where none of the characters were old enough to actually have watched Dawson's Creek.

And who could forget Lawson's role as Maya, the murdered girlfriend of Emily on Pretty Little Liars?

Thankfully, Bianca Lawson is finally growing up — her role on Teen Wolf has her playing a guidance counselor at a high school rather than a high school junior. That said, we're not totally convinced that Lawson won't be playing another high school student in the future. She could totally pull it off.

Truth be told, though, we just want Lawson's anti-aging secret. How can we all look 17 forever? TELL US, BIANCA. TELL US.
