Lana Del Rey's "West Coast" may be my song of the summer, or at the very least, song of the spring. It makes me want to drive the 3,000 miles to Malibu in my shiny red vintage Mustang. (I do not own a shiny red vintage Mustang, FYI, but if only I did... ) It's been a while since we've seen Lana blow up Vevo with a new music video, but the wait is almost over. Lana just dropped a preview of the music video for "West Coast" on her Instagram page, and it's exactly the kind of song that will make your transition from spring to summer all the smoother.
The single is already the second biggest hit of Lana's career and is sure to keep climbing the charts once the video drops. In the preview for the video you'll see Lana doing what Lana does best, AKA looking slightly tired and sad while lounging lazily over the arm of not one, but two suitors. One of these suitors looks like Martin Scorsese while the other looks like a California-fied version of Kurt Cobain. Needless to say, I'm excited for whatever story this video is telling us. Will Lana ditch her grunge hottie for a director who promises her fame and fortune?
Check out the Instagram video below.
No word yet on when this video officially drops, but it looks like we'll be in for one awesome pre-summer treat.
