White House Correspondents' Dinner Attendees Show Us How to Nail Spring Brunch Style at the 2014 Annual Garden Brunch
Washington, D.C. had a particularly exciting weekend in the fashion department, thanks to Saturday evening’s star-filled White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The annual event — which is basically the White House’s version of the Oscars — was full of amazing, glamorous looks from stars like Lupita Nyong’o, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Simpson, and, of course, the First Lady herself. And though it was no doubt a fashionable fête, it wasn’t the only stylish D.C. event of the weekend. On Saturday morning, many of the evening’s most famous faces gathered for the 2014 Annual Garden Brunch, looking ladylike and spring-ready in their most fabulous brunch ensembles. Anne V
When you’ve got it, flaunt it, right? The supermodel did just that with her sheer-paneled sheath dress, which somehow looked perfectly tasteful thanks to its crisp, tailored cut and her laid-back hair and makeup.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Looking like a walking work of art, the Veep actress was ultra sophisticated in her watercolor and floral-print, midi-length Lela Rose dress, which she complemented with tangerine lips and simple red pumps.
Rose McGowan
Working the little white dress flawlessly, McGowan opted for a less-is-more approach with a tiered tank dress, basic black booties, and an oversized black-and-white envelope clutch.
Katharine McPhee
McPhee perfected the spring color of the moment, mint, when she wore it in a cropped, wrapped-front jumpsuit from designer Rachel Zoe. Keeping jewelry, accessories, and makeup to a minimum, the singer and actress was a breath of fresh spring air at the brunch.
Irina Shayk
A pink A-line dress could easily veer into too-sweet-and-girly territory, but the model kept it sporty and edgy in her Versace number thanks to slicked-back strands and pared-down styling.
Katie Lowes
The Scandal actress loves a good monochromatic number, and she stuck with her minimalist sense of style at the annual brunch in a brilliant kelly green sheath dress, printed heels, and a tiny black clutch.
Freida Pinto
Pairing a pretty pink, crocheted pencil skirt with a sheer, powder pink blouse — both from Burberry — the actress was the picture of elegance in her work-meets-play ensemble.
Constance Zimmer
What kind of outfit says “spring” better than a classic black-and-white, floral-print number? The House of Cards actress must have had the same thought, as she rocked the look flawlessly with hints of yellow at the annual garden party.
Bellamy Young
Young gave us a dose of bright color and beautiful style in her bold turquoise gathered-waist frock, which she paired with raven waves and multi-hued, peep-toe sandals.
