'Twin Peaks' Box Set Contains Unseen Footage, Will It Offer More Clues to Laura Palmer's Death?

Looking for more clues into the mystery of Laura Palmer's death? Well, you're in luck. There's a new Twin Peaks box set coming out July 29, and not only does it contain the entire series plus Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, there's also an additional 90 minutes of deleted and alternate scenes from the prequel film which fans previously petitioned to be released. Oh, and the entire box set was put together by mastermind David Lynch himself, who gave a (kind of stiff and scripted-sounding) statement about the box set:

But hey, forget about the PR nonsense. There's more Twin Peaks to be watched! Entertainment Weekly has a teaser of the deleted footage, and while it may or may not satisfy all Twin Peaks fans, it sure is entertaining to watch. There's Leland freaking out as BOB, Bobby yelling and throwing cocaine in the air, and David Bowie being...well, David Bowie. It's not enough to give you a good sense of what happens in the deleted scenes, but then again, we can always play the guessing game...

  • Leland starts his own weird ballroom dancing group
  • A scene where Agent Cooper goes to a Starbucks
  • An alternate ending where everyone is revealed to be BOB...even you
  • The Log Lady's log has grandchildren
  • The deleted scenes are just 90 minutes of The Man from Another Place dancing in the Black Lodge
  • Catherine burns down the Great Northern, laughing maniacally
  • The deleted scenes are just 90 minutes of all the seasons of Twin Peaks being re-enacted with Peeps, aka Twin Peeps
  • It's all just more pointless subplots about James<img alt="" src="http://lovelace-media.imgix.net/getty/467041381.jpg?w=400&amp;h=225&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=faces&amp;fm=jpg&amp;q=65" class="article-body-image" title="Image: http://lovelace-media.imgix.net/getty/467041381.jpg?w=400&amp;h=225&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=faces&amp;fm=jpg&amp;q=65"/> Image: ABC
