Watch New Video for Miley's 'We Can't Stop'

by Lindsay Mannering

Since its June 19 premiere, Miley Cyrus' video for "We Can't Stop" has received a record-breaking 100 million views on VEVO in 37 days, just barely surpassing Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie", which received the same amount of views in 39 days. So how does the 19-year-old pop star celebrate the big news? She capitalizes on it, of course. Today, Miley Cyrus released a director's cut of "We Can't Stop", because, well, she can't stop.

The original video is 3:34 and the extended cut is 3:53 — in the extra 19 seconds we get some karaoke scenes, a piñata scene, longer roof-party scenes, and more of that creepy CGI face singing the slowed-down rap parts.

The extended cut is just another one of Miley's brilliant marketing moves. She's managed to make a video that has over 100 million views new again. She's turned one hit video into two, and if the video itself doesn't thrill you, the genius behind its release should.

All hail Miley's merchandising.
