Good news for those Americans who are still faithfully tuning in to American Idol. Judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban & Harry Connick, Jr. will all return to judge singing hopefuls on the next season of the competition. Season 14 of the series will also bring back Ryan Seacrest to host (because really, what would American Idol be without our favorite toe-headed seashell?).
David Hill, 21st Century Fox's senior EVP said of the news: “Jennifer, Keith, Harry and Ryan are the very best in the business at what they do, and I’m thrilled that they are returning to American Idol for another season. Each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream.”
So while the dream team (or whatever you'd like to call the sensational trio) is prepping for another season of criticism, praise and critique, auditions for the show are underway in New Orleans, then moving to New York in July. And while ratings for the singing show have dropped significantly since it's star-making debut, there is still a loyal audience for the FOX offering, and it seems the trio of talented judges are also showing their loyalty by sticking around for another season.
