Paul Helps Couple Get Engaged at Concert

by Mallory Schlossberg

Love is all you need. Well, that and a former member of The Beatles to facilitate a proposal. The Today Show reports that Paul McCartney helped a couple get engaged at one of his concerts. Awwww. Consider this the Adorable Engagement of The Day. No, the guy did not break out into song and say, "Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64?" From my understanding, proposals are not usually mixed with hopes that someone will spoon feed you wheat germ in your geriatric phase of life.

However, John Dann and Claudia Rogers, did ask something of McCartney at his concert. The two were hanging out near the front of the stage at McCartney's show in Albany with signs that respectively read: "I have the ring and I'm 64!" and "He won't marry me til he meets you!"

That's a lot to lay on McCartney, and we'll never know what would have happened if McCartney declined their requests, but fortunately for Rogers, Dann, and those of us who love a sweet proposal story, McCartney invited the two on stage during his final encore. Dann got down on one knee to pop the question, and Rogers said yes. (Yaayy!) Apparently, their hotel was just 10 minutes away, but the crowd was so psyched for the couple and set on congratulating them, that it took Dann and Rogers a whopping two hours to get back.

Later, Dann told Gannet that:

It was so wild that I didn't even have a chance to get nervous.

So, there you have it! To recap: all you need is love! (Doo doo doo doo doo). All you need is love! All you need is love, love... and Paul McCartney.
