U.S. Ambassador To The United Nations Samantha Power Officially Joins Twitter
Newly confirmed U.S. ambassador to the United Nations officially joined Twitter Monday, three days after she was sworn in by Vice President Joe Biden Friday. Power was confirmed by the Senate in a vote of 87-10. She tweeted for the first time early this morning.
Power replaces Susan Rice, who is now President Obama's national security advisor. Power previously served on Obama's National Security Council and said she will work to promote human rights and reform the UN — again via Twitter.
She also tweeted this great shot of her swearing in ceremony. Happy Monday from Bustle and Joe!
