What Jimmy Fallon Revealed About Baby Daughter

by Kate Ward

It's been two weeks since Jimmy Fallon excitedly (and adorably) revealed his daughter's name on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, but the comedian is now unveiling more details about Winnie Rose, his first daughter with wife Nancy Fallon.

Appearing on Today to talk about his newborn daughter, Fallon revealed that he and his wife had used a surrogate to have Winnie, thanks to the couple's fertility struggle. Said Fallon on Today, "It wasn’t really a secret, but my wife and I had been trying for awhile to have a baby. We’ve tried a bunch of different things, so we had a surrogate."

Which explains why Winnie's birth was such a surprise to fans and media, who did not know that the late night host was expecting a child. Said Fallon, "This time we just said we’re not going to tell anybody, it’d be just more fun if it’s just private between me and my wife and then we get to introduce her to everybody."

And introduce her he did — not only did he announce her name on Late Night, but Fallon has shared photos via social media of his newborn daughter. With children on the mind, no wonder he conceived this last week.
