OK, I'm not gonna lie to you. I respect you too much for that! So, real talk: It did take me one or two attempts at watching this new trailer for Fury before I actually paid attention to what was going on plot-wise. But that's not for lack of interest! It's just, you know, Brad Pitt is a very pretty man, and especially so when he looks a little scruffy. Also, I got some major Inglourious Basterds flashbacks. It was a slow progression. But! After I got over that and finally focused on the trailer, Fury actually looks like a pretty intriguing war movie.
Starring Pitt (which we have established), Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf (who will "shock" us all with his performance, according to director David Ayer), Michael Peña, and Jon Bernthal, the film is set during World War II in Germany and follows a group of American soldiers led by Pitt who work with a tank called "Fury" in Nazi territory. The film is set to close the London Film Festival in October, so there's already some major buzz surrounding it.
You can check out the trailer below. Fury will hit theaters nationwide on October 17, 2014.
