'Mean Girls' Damian Found a Home on HBO

by Anna Klassen

Finally! We've been waiting a very long time to see what Mean Girls star Daniel Franzese would do next. And now, we know. The actor who played "Too gay to function" Damian has been tapped for HBO's Looking. The actor is joining the cast for Season 2's 10 episode arc, and sounds like he'll be sticking around for several episodes, at least.

Franzese will play the role of Eddie, a love interest living in San Francisco and working in the nonprofit community. The show, described as a "gay dramedy" stars Glee's Jonathan Groff, Murray Bartlett, Frankie Alvarez and others.

Franzese is most well known for his work in the hyper popular Mean Girls, where he plays a friend to Lindsay Lohan's character. Since the 2004 hit, he's been in a number of smaller films and had cameos in a handful of TV shows like Burn Notice and Foodies, but this will be the actor's first major role since the now cult classic.

He's also been busy running into his former Mean Girls co-stars and posting epic reunion pictures on social media. And really, what else could any Mean Girls fan really want?
