He Makes a Great Orphan Annie

After his Friends reunion earlier this week, Jimmy Kimmel was back at it again on Thursday's episode with another edition of his whole putting-celebrities-into-scenarios-they-aren't-really-feeling thing. On Wednesday, Kimmel got Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Courteney Cox read along to his strangely sexual fan fiction, and Thursday night, he got Ed Sheeran to dress up as Little Orphan Annie. Sheeran's Annie outfit was complete with the classic red dress, the ankle socks, and the black Mary Janes. Oh, and we can't forget, Sandy was there too. (Albeit fake and dragged around on a rope.) But while Sheeran exited the stage before really getting a chance to perform — he very obviously wasn't into it — I have a few better ideas of who Sheeran should embody next.

Of course, Sheeran's red hair is the real draw here. That's why he ended up as a more-hairy-than-usual Annie, after all. So, for Sheeran's next costume, he should definitely go with another redhead. I mentally went through the redheads of pop culture past and present, and came up with some solid ideas, if I do say so myself. And Ed, feel free to take one of these for your Halloween costume. It's coming up fast!

Lucy is iconic. Sheeran should be honored if he ever gets to play her.

Donald Trump

A comb over, some hair gel, and general agitation, and Sheeran would look just like him.

He certainly has the voice for it, that’s all I’m saying. The seashell bra is just a plus.

Pippi Longstocking

Rub a little dirt on that angelic face, slap on a house dress, and we’ve got ourselves a reboot.

Raggedy Andy

I need this to happen immediately.

Prince Harry

Well, hello there, handsome. Sure, he’d have to brush up on some etiquette and cut his hair a couple inches, but I think he’d pull it off.

Chuckie Finster

While Chuckie was always self conscious about his beautiful red hair, I think Ed could bring a quiet confidence to the role.

Get ready to Instagram those Halloween pics, Sheeran.
