8 Fall Lipsticks From Nude to Berry To Help Ease The Transition To Your Cool-Weather Beauty Look

NEW YORK, NY - SEPTEMBER 14: Avon lipstick products are displayed inside the newly completed U.S. headquarters for Avon Products Inc. on September 14, 2011 in New York City. The 'green' 275,000 square-foot headquarters were constructed by 17 percent female laborers and was designed to meet the Gold standard for commercial interiors under the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system. It's getting to be that time. Since September started, I've found myself reaching for that oxblood lippy everyday, and then having to stop myself just as the bullet is about to touch my lips. I can't throw in the towel yet! It's still summer for crying out loud! I have T minus 18 days left to rock my bright pinks and corals. (Of course, I'm not suggesting that these shades can't be worn during the colder months, just that it can be fun to embrace seasonal makeup.) But the simple truth is, I'm just too excited. I love the berries and the reds and the almost-blacks that are associated with fall and winter.

But I don't want to prematurely wear out the excitement of a vampy lip. Especially because here in North Carolina, it doesn't even really get cold until November (at the earliest). So I wanted some options to help tie me over until I'm ready to go-bold-or-go-home. Whether you're like me and need to slow your roll, or you just want to dip your toes into the deeper-lip looks, here are some options, from nudes to purples, to transition your lips from summer to fall.
