The Lela Rose Spring/Summer 2015 Runway Was Full Of Black And White Pieces That Will Make You Want To Abandon All Other Colors

Don't even think about calling black and white basic, because this is one spring 2015 trend that Lela Rose is keeping away from humdrum territory. On the Rose's Monday morning runway, models sauntered down the catwalk in an array of the designer's quintessentially feminine designs, but the concept had a twist: the black and white ensembles were not for the faint of heart. Each neoclassical ensemble featured clashing patterns and optical prints on pieces of playful proportions. Minute checkers and bold polka dots were tied together with a sheer, shawl-style sweater, climbing roses overtook a silken skirt and top, and sheer dresses boasted a geometric print which could easily have been captured from a painting in the MOMA. Here are nine hot-off-the-runway looks to inspire a bit of nontraditional black and white dressing for now and next season.
