Karlie Kloss is about to add a new title behind her name — L'Oreal Brand Ambassador. After much speculation and rumor spreading, Karlie Kloss is officially the new face of L'Oreal Paris. And I'm so excited about their choice. It's certainly been a good year for Kloss — she's worked with Victoria's Secret, was the face of Chanel's Coco Noir fragrance, designed her own eyewear line, and inspired many haircuts with her chic bob, including her BFF Taylor Swift. Obviously, they think she's worth it.
Kloss was chosen because of her "powerful walk, unique freshness and amazing energy." And her reaction to this career milestone? "I've waited my whole life to be able to say 'because I'm worth it,'" said in typically adorable Karlie fashion.
Though she won't start appearing in advertising campaigns until the end of 2014, the first pictures from a shoot with the French beauty brand have been released, and they prove that the supermodel certainly was the right choice to represent a brand that seeks to inspire women to be strong and confident in their skin.
Kloss smolders for the camera in a black-and-white tuxedo-esque jacket, with her signature bob in tossled waves. She evokes that classic, French "le smoking" style, while still highlighting her all-American features that make her such a favorite among designers.
Kloss has proved she can handle the world of high fashion, and now it seems she's headed for commercial success. And if this shoot is any indication, I can't wait to see what more she has in store.
