Taylor Swift Looks So '1989' On This Mag Cover

by Erin Mayer

BREAKING: The '90s are totally over. It's time for the '80s to take center stage. Okay, maybe that's a stretch. But Taylor Swift on the cover of British Vogue is channeling the '80s pretty hard for the November issue... and looking fan-freaking-tastic while doing it. She's rocking a pseudo mullet and everything! Maybe it's time we give '80s jazzercise dressing a spin?

T-Swizzle, whose upcoming album 1989 is set for release this month, swapped her signature red lips for frosted pink gloss and flushed cheeks for her appearance in the pages of British Vogue . The cover look, shot by Mario Testino, features a bubblegum pink jacket layered over a chunky blue knitted tank dress and, of course, that mullet. It's a very different look for the songstress, but she kills the whole Valley Girl thing. Plus I love the ultra-cheeky wink at her new album title, which one can only assume references the year that Swift was born.

Swifty has gone through a fashion revolution of late, discovering that the crop top/full skirt co-ord look was basically made for her bod. But, I don't know, she could be on to something with this bitchin' 1980s fashion thing. As for me, I'm feeling inspired to shake off the '90s and hunt down an off-the-shoulder sweater and metallic pumps this fall. Check out the Taylor Swift British Vogue cover below.

Sorry Joan Jett, but the mullet has never looked so good.
