So When's 'AHS' Back in Your Life?

by Alanna Bennett

Something wicked this way comes: The third season of American Horror Story has its premiere date. A new teaser trailer revealed that Wednesday, October 9 will welcome back the drama series.

According to Ryan Murphy, who co-created the show along with fellow Glee co-creator Brad Falchuck, the trailer itself is filled with clues on what's to come. ""You have to watch it 10 times because every frame is a clue for what the season will be," Murphy teased. "And every year it has a different tone, look and concept. By the last frame of the main title for Coven, you'll really have an idea of what the last frame of the Coven season will be."

The newest season of the drama — which takes on the format of an anthology — will focus on witchcraft and American witches. In it, Kathy Bates will play a native Louisianan socialite serial killer. The cast overall is pretty all-star, with Jessica Lange playing a witch, Sarah Paulson playing her daughter, and Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti Lupone, Gabourey Sidibe, and a whole host of other familiar places rounding out the cast.

We can't wait to see what this season of the horror series has in store for us, and if you'd like a clue, too, trailer is viewable below:
