Glittery Pink Makeup For Your Inner 5-Year-Old
It’s been many years since I spent my afternoons watching Disney Princess movies on repeat but sometimes, I still just want a little sparkle in my life. The other day, I had to talk myself out of buying a set of glitter notebooks for class because I am a 21-year-old senior in college and am trying to be taken at least a little bit seriously. And a year ago, my roommate and I went on a glitterfication binge of the apartment, where we spent a weekend making our wine glasses, picture frames, and flower vases sparkle. We were finding glitter in our drinks and shaking it off our clothes for at least three months. These hazards come with the territory when, at the ripe old age of 21, you still harbor a love for all things girly, flirty, pink, and sparkly. Sorry not sorry but sometimes your inner child just wants to wear a tiara, body glitter, sparkly eye shadow, and hot pink lip gloss.
Don’t get me wrong, there are many feminist and socio-political issues that are inescapable when it comes to that whole princess genre. But still ya gotta admit, do those gals make for some great beauty inspiration or what?
There’s a fine line however between pink-chic and looking like a little girl playing a ridiculous game of dress-up at the office. So to keep you from looking like Glinda the Good Witch, I’ve complied a list of fun, glittery, bright make-up and delightfully pink beauty products that the absurd 5-year-old in you would go gaga for. But are, of course, still totally appropriate for the real-life, grown-up you!
