Keira Knightley Stunned At London Film Festival

by Alexa Tucker

Keira Knightley absolutely killed it at the opening of the London Film Festival in a romantic gold Valentino Couture number. This dress looked like it was made for Keira, and she was made for it. A red carpet match match made in heaven, I tell you.

While a tiered floor-length dress with a high neck and long sleeves doesn't sound all that dazzling on paper, the actress, whose new movie The Imitation Game opened the British Film Institute's annual festival, looked incredible. The intricate embroidery fit her vintage glamour style, and the gold tone gave her fair skin a little extra glow.

Sure, Keira does tend to stick to her go-to dress style for red carpets, so this dress wasn't much of a shocker on her, but why not stick to what works? Because this obviously does. You work that detailed Victiorian-esque dress, girl, just like you always do.

She complemented the gown perfectly with simple red pumps and a berry colored lip (and her ***flawless porcelain complexion, per usual.) A striking pair of diamond earrings completed the look (swoon.) That's what I love about Keira: she knows not to overdo it. Very seldom do you see her dripping in a superfluous amount of jewelry on the red carpet (which I think is a trap too many celebs fall into when it comes to accessorizing.)

She did have one particularly gorgeous piece of arm candy, though: her costar Benedict Cumberbatch (double swoon.) To be honest, she could have dressed in a plastic bag and I wouldn't have noticed in the photos of her standing next to him. I can't help myself.
