If you were worried about whether or not Adam Levine and Blake Shelton's bromance would suffer on The Voice now that Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are back and sitting between them (the distance is just too far to bear), good news: Judging by this new promo from NBC, that will definitely not be the case. The bromance is back, and in full force for on The Voice Season 5. Reason enough to watch this show over The X Factor.
There are a lot of other good things about this upcoming season as well: The original judges are back together, which instills a feeling of nostalgia that's actually sort of sweet. No disrespect to Shakira and Usher, but nothing can beat the OG team. Aguilera's sass also seems to be back in full swing, as indicated by her non-hesititation in telling Blake Shelton to shut up when they disagree about a contestant's audition.
Other noteworthy things: Blake and Adam kiss, in a split second scene that will probably launch a thousand fanfictions on the weirdest place on the Internet, archiveofourown.org.
The fifth season of The Voice, featuring Aguilera, Green, Shelton, and Levine, will premiere on NBC on Sept. 23, at 8 PM. Until then, check out the teaser below.
