2014's Holiday Party Style Trends
When Mario Testino throws a party for himself — the fashion set shows up in full force. Testino hosted his 60th birthday party at London's Chiltern Firehouse on Wednesday, and there was certainly no shortage of A-list stars, wild escapades (Kylie Minogue even popped out of a cake before singing 'Happy Birthday' to the iconic photographer!), or fabulous fashion, for that matter.
The party had a '40s Havana theme with red, white, and black as the main colors of the evening. And his guests certainly adhered to these guidelines. From Kate Moss, to Sienna Miller, and even Keira Knightley — his famous friends may have stolen the cake from the photographer (who even rocked a fake mustache to compliment his white tuxedo) when it came to their dresses. And they gave us some serious holiday style inspiration while they were at it. So tuck away your ugly sweaters because it looks like this season, holiday party style is full of glitter, the color red, and, if Kate Moss has anything to say about it, sheer. Here are a few trends to try out at this season's holiday parties, courtesy of everyone's favorite fashionable celebrities.
1. Tea Length Dresses
Sienna Miller looked stunning in her tea-length lace dress and slightly more sophisticated take on ruby slippers. Bonus: her new bob lends itself perfectly to '40s-style hair.
2. Sheer
Kate Moss's red, sheer dress leaves little to the imagination. Just make sure you bring a coat when wearing this trend. It will be winter, after all.
3. Glitter
Naomi Campbell's silver dress and necklace look like a sparkling Winter Wonderland.
4. White
If you'd rather play it safe, you can't go wrong with classic winter white á la Keira Knightley.
5. Color-blocking
Break up the bold, red with a contrasting color, like Poppy Delevingne.
