Target has been upping its beauty game on a legit level in recent years. Seriously, Target is becoming a one-stop beauty store.. From its collabs with the now-defunct Jemma Kidd brand to Pixi to the limited edition Cos Bar offerings a few seasons back to its new-ish partnership with hair brands Carol's Daughter and Miss Jessie's, the red-loving retailer, has once again upped its status as a premium beauty retailer. Target just added S.W. Basics of Brooklyn and NUXE, two premium natural skincare brands, to its aisles.
The S.W. Basics of Brooklyn products are now available on the big red bullseye's website, while French prestige brand NUXE will be on sale on the site as of November 30. Both will be available in select stores as of March 2015. These brands are a bit niche with cool signature elements and Target will bring them to a wider assortment of shoppers looking for a little variation and something special beyond the usual drugstore beauty suspects.

Go ahead and do your happy dance.
Here's the "basics" about S.W. Basics of Brooklyn: The products are made from sustainably sourced ingredients, which means they are good for you and for the planet. Each item boasts five-or-less (!!!) ingredients. Forget all those icky chemicals and preservatives!
The brand began in founder Adina Grigore's Brooklyn kitchen, since she was frustrated with never being able to find the right products for her sensitive skin.
S.W. Basics Cream, $32, Target
Seven S.W. Basics items have been introduced at mass, among them a cream, a body scrub, an exfoliant, a toner, and a makeup remover.
S.W. Basics Body Scrub, $21, Target; S.W. Basics Exfoliant, $24, Target; S.W. Basics Toner, $22, Target
S.W. Basics Makeup Remover, $14, Target
Things I plan to nab on the quick? Oh, just that delish cream and the makeup remover. The jar that houses the cream is totally re-purposable as a makeup brush holder or even a container with which to store rings. I'm excited!
As for NUXE, that's a French brand and it's crazy luxe — but relatively affordable. The brand will sell 15 items, namely its signature oils as well as other assorted creams and cleansers, via Target's site beginning November 30.
I have been using NUXE's multi-purpose dry body oil on my arms and legs for years, especially when I have to attend an outdoor wedding or a fancy event where I show more skin than usual. If you desire that elusive Kardashian red carpet glow and want skin sheen without having to get a luggage-colored spray tan, this rich and softening oil will get you there. There's even a version with some golden color and shimmer, if you're feeling extra fancy. You can also use judiciously in hair to smooth and tame flyaways or to add some shine.
Big ups to Target for once again offering a luxe array of items to the mass market.
