Will 'Togetherness' Be HBO's Next Big Hit?

by Emma Goddard

With shows like Game of Thrones, Veep, Girls, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, HBO has quite a number of successful shows under its belt, and with the network's ever-growing audience, those successful shows just keep coming. Now, the network is bringing its fans a little bit more comedy thanks to brothers Mark and Jay Duplass, known for their work like The Puffy Chair and Jeff Who Lives at Home — and, of course, the show already looks amazing. HBO just released its first trailer for Togetherness, a show about the obstacles a couple must face during their marriage, and not only has it already shown us the great humor we can expect, but it reveals a serious side as well.

With its very realistic storyline and the promised tagline, “some people have it all figured out...these are not those people,” throughout the video, it’s clear that this show is bound to bring in a pretty good following. After all, there’s no doubt that many people can already relate to it.

The show will air on Jan. 11 and will star Mark Duplass himself, Melanie Lynskey, and Amanda Peet, amongst others.
