Liam Hemsworth Had To Kiss JLaw And It Was Gross

I imagine the atmosphere of The Hunger Games set must have been similar to a college dorm. You know, living among those college friends you're just a little too comfortable with. Considering Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence, and Josh Hutcherson were all college-aged kids when the franchise started, holed up together filming in Georgia. Anyhow, imagine that same relationship you share with your college besties being brought to new, strange heights, having to kiss each other on screen. Well, that's the predicament Hemsworth and Lawrence found themselves in. And, as usual, J. Law knew exactly how to make it less awkward. Or more awkward, depending on how you look at it.

What did she do, you ask? Ate tuna or garlic infused foods and then failed to brush her teeth before laying a big one on poor Hemsworth. As Us Weekly relays, Hemsworth told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show:

Anytime I had to kiss Jennifer was pretty uncomfortable. When you look at it on the outside, it looks like a great picture. She's one of my best friends, I love her, but if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting. Right before the scene she'd be like, 'Yeah, I ate tuna' or 'I had garlic, and I didn't brush my teeth.' And I'd be like,'Fantastic, I can't wait to get in there and taste it!'

I'm not sure if this particular prank was horribly cruel of Lawrence or just plain hilarious (a little of both), but either way, I feel bad for the statuesque Aussie. I do see J. Law's method of madness though, I don't necessarily agree with it. It was an effective way of taking every ounce of romance right out of the situation. Listen, all I know is if got the chance to smooch on Hemsworth, best friend or not, I'd make sure I was minty fresh.
