Taryn Manning, known for portraying Pennsatucky in the Netflix hit Orange Is the new Black, is letting her voice be heard via social media after many news outlets made allegations Manning violated a restraining order, made criminal threats against a former friend, and is going to jail for her actions. On Wednesday morning TMZ reported that Manning was allegedly "arrested for making criminal threats against a former close friend," who she was ordered to stay away from. As for Page Six, the website reports Manning "was arrested for violating a restraining order and threatening to kill her ex-girlfriend."
Both TMZ and Page Six said they received their information from "law enforcement sources." Well, it looks like the actress is not going to jail, as TMZ posted the following update from Manning's lawyer:
The District Attorney declined to prosecute Ms. Manning and the arrest was voided. The allegation was false. It is unfortunate that additional false allegations by an individual convicted of violating orders of protection intended to protect Ms. Manning are facilitated by purported news organizations to perpetuate the harassment of Ms. Manning exponentially.
TMZ also spoke with the NYPD, who reportedly said "the arrest is not voided."
In what seems to be a very complicated and confusing situation, one thing remains clear: Manning is not happy with the media for their false accusations. So, what better way to let your voice be heard than through social media, which is exactly what Manning's been doing. Here's what she's said about everything:
Also, some bad news for TMZ. Manning's mom used to have a crush on Harvey Levin (TMZ's founder), but not anymore.
With all of that said, it doesn't seem like Manning's letting this news and "harassment" get her down, after all, some of her tweets are funny and sarcastic. At least she's been able to keep her sense of humor. Also, it looks like she's going to Disneyland. Now that's one way to get your mind off of things, especially when it's at the happiest place on Earth!
