And the Winner of 2013's Miss USA Is...

by Kate Ward

The results are in. A body of Americans led by Betsey Johnson, Duck Dynasty's Jessica Robertson, and Mo Rocca(?!) have rendered a verdict, and have decided that one woman wears a swimsuit well enough to lead our nation's population of beautiful people. That's right — Miss USA has been crowned in Las Vegas, and the lucky recipient of 15 minutes of fame (unless she has a coke controversy, that is) is Miss Connecticut, otherwise known as 25-year-old Erin Brady.

Brady's win capped off a night catered towards young women, with Nick Jonas taking hosting duties alongside E!'s Giuliana Rancic. The Jonas Brothers also performed live during the swimsuit portion of the competition. Brady — who beat out first runner-up Miss Alabama Mary Margaret McCord — is a resident of East Hampton, Conn., and works as a Financial Accountant for Prudential Retirement. And she hardly plans on pageants being her full-time job — the winner hopes to pursue an MBA after her reign.

Either that, or a stint on Miss USA honcho Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice. We'll see.
