In the relatively short time between Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up, and The Pink Print, Nicki Minaj's look has gone from Heatherette to Calvin Klein. Her latest look keeps pace with that pattern. Nicki Minaj's AMA outfit is a tribal-esque black minidress with a few pops of color, yet another look added to the rapper's oft-deconstructed make-under sartorial canon. Still, it has the signature Nicki edge.

Minaj appeared on the red carpet of the American Music Awards clad in a black frock by Alexander Wang. Also, I can't be entirely sure, but is this made out of horsehair?! Maybe just regular fringe? I'm gonna go with horsehair, because I simply want it to be so. 'Cause her days of pastel-colored hair are apparently a thing of the past, Nicki sported a center-parted mane and went with natural makeup. Can we please draw up a petition to bring back the Bride of Frankenstein hair?? Glad we're all on the same page.

In the midst of what has already been an eventful comeback year for her, The "Anaconda" rapper is performing "Bang Bang" with Jessie J and Ariana Grande at the AMA ceremony, as well as her new single "Bed of Lies" tonight. One can only wonder: does this mean another accidentally on-purpose wardrobe malfunction is on the horizon? Only time will tell. Luckily, things appear by-and-large very secure at the moment.
