Ever Wonder How Kate Gets Ready For A Night Out?

by Alexa Tucker

As one of the most iconic supermodels, well, ever, Kate Moss knows beauty. And at 40, she looks as incredible as always, putting women nearly half her age to shame when she steps onto any red carpet or enters any A-lister soiree. How does she do it? Sure, genetics and confidence play a role, but Moss knows a thing or two about what to do and what to use to look your best. In an interview with Grazia Magazine this week, Moss spills a few of her party preparation secrets.

First up is the foundation, and not the makeup kind. To prep her skin for max beauty potential, Moss' go-to is a lymphatic drainage facial that utilizes Sanctuary Spa Wonder Oil Serum ($30), which touts itself as a hydrating and an anti-aging product. "It's like getting a natural facelift," she says. Next, a little color: "You can get away with a late night with a tan — it covers a multitude of sins." Noted, Kate. Her glow is courtesy of St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil ($50).

Her makeup go-tos are Charlotte Tillbury's Filmstar Bronze and Glow contouring kit ($65), smudged black pencil liner and a bold red lip. (Of course, she recommends Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in shade 001, $5.49.)

Don't get me wrong, as a Kate devotee, I will absolutely be taking these tips to heart, but perhaps the most interesting part of the famously wild model's routine is her morning-after secret. "If I wake up in the morning and look tired and puffy, I fill a sink with ice and cucumber and submerge my face," she says.

While a lymphatic drainage facial isn't really at my disposal every weekend, I'll absolutely be grabbing a cucumber during my next trip to the grocery store to test out Kate's "hangover face" cure. I'll feel just like a posh supermodel, except my sink won't be perfectly polished white porcelain and the towel I'll dry my face with won't be Egyptian cotton. But, whatevs. For me, Kate Moss is a state of mind.
