Miley Cyrus & 16 More Celebs Who Should Be Banned from Instagram

Instagram is the great equalizer. No matter who we are, we all feel the need to post a selfie or a snap of our current meal and hashtag it with every phrase under the sun because we think people actually care that much. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. Of course, celebrities will always put their business out there a little more than the normal folk. But, I will say, some celebrities should maybe take a little break from Instagram because sometimes they're just bad, excessive, boring and well, annoying. #noshade

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg was one of the first celebs I decided to unfollow. I am a big Doggy Dog fan but realized that his social media situation was too intense for me, between the barrages of ridiculous memes, smoking selfies and trying to start beef with Iggy Azalea with insulting posts and photos. Not cool!

Miley Cyrus

Yeah, Miley Cyrus might have one the weirdest celeb Instagram accounts to date, which is cool and all, but at this point, the Lisa Frank, psychedelic, Microsoft Paint style memes and selfies are getting kinda old. Now, it’d just be shocking if she just posted a photo in focus, to be honest.

James Franco

Well, he already tried to hook up with a 17 year old through Instagram and has lately been posting super creepy bald selfies of himself in bed. James, you’re cute and talented and all, but it’s not a good look.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber has, arguably, one of the most annoying pseudo-concerned pouts I’ve ever seen and he sure like to show it over and over and over again. He also likes to post photos of himself hanging out with other girls and if those are jabs aimed at Selena Gomez, I will not take it! I don’t even need to mention the shirtless gym selfies and deleted Orlando Bloom post.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga’s Instagram is just loads of selfies in her in her own #artpop world, with very little concern beyond that — well, except for her dog and Tony Bennet. I’ll give it to her, at least she’s been bringing the weird longer and more consistently than any pop stars out there.

Coco Austin

Well, if you want booty, Coco Austin will give you BOOTY. But the booty is not her biggest offense. I think the biggest issue here is the heinous overuse of leopard/animal print everything. I mean, everything.

Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham is the queen of over-sharing and that extends to her Instagram. I don’t think we need to see so many photos of bruised legs and ~awkward girl~ selfies.

Drake

Oh, Drake, even your Instagram handle name is too much. The “champagne Papi” is typically showing off his grandiose life, but I have an issue when he tries to start Instagram beef with Tyga, while including a photo of (an underaged) Kylie Jenner.

Kim Kardashian

All I can say about this is that Kim’s already reached a pinnacle: she’s got the most liked Instagram photo EVER. She should just retire now, right? We have enough selfies to last a lifetime.

Paris Hilton

Just when I thought Paris Hilton had finally disappeared from the radar, she comes back with a vengeance, only now she claims to be a DJ. Instagramming photos of yourself with headphones on doesn’t make you a DJ.

Pauly D

Motorcycles, bedazzled belts, excessive tanning, shirtless selfies, photos surround by chicks in bathing suits? Pauly D has got it all on his Instagram and he obviously doesn’t care much about shedding his Jersey Shore image… at all.

Chrissy Teigan

Am I only choosing her because I’m being a tiny bit of a hater? Maybe. There’s no way a normal human being can post so many photos of herself eating spray cheese, noodles, and chocolate truffles and still look the way she does! It’s not right, I tell you.

Tyga

The whole mess between him, ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna and Drake did it for me. It just seems ridiculously petty to be fighting and taking jabs over a social media site when you are well into your 20’s. They also brought a 17-year-old girl into the mix which is not cute or cool.

Chris Brown

Chris Brown probably needs to quit everything for a while. He most recently posted a vicious verbal attack on Adrienne Bailon and Tamar Braxton in the most sexist way, and he continues to be generally obnoxious and self-righteous. BYE.

Scott Disick

I have a complicated relationship with the Kardashians but an ever greater issue with Scott Disick. Besides not acting like much of a man on the reality show, Disick only seems like an entitled brat, and an insensitive one who likes to post politically incorrect photos to his throngs of “fans.” Kourtney Kardashian recently posted a cryptic post on her Instagram hinting at trouble in paradise, so many this means they can focus on their family and get off social media for a bit.

Tyra Banks

Tyra Banks can only do things two ways: INTENSE or not at all, and this applies to her Instagram. Her feed is pretty much a Tyra Banks brand promotion and commercial with dramatic smizing selfies sprinkled throughout. If you can tolerate someone cluttering your feed with 12 blank photos (in a 24 hour time period) to promote their make up line, then I applaud you.

Madonna

Listen, I respect the true Queen of Pop, but sometimes her Instagram reaches embarrassing levels of “Hey! I’m a cool mom.” In January, Madge posted a rather controversial photo of her 13-year-old son Rocco, holding up a bottle of gin with his friends doing the same. Not a good idea to post it for your near 3 million followers. OOP.
