Emily Blunt can now add heroine to her resume. During an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, the 31-year-old actress recalled saving Meryl Streep's life while filming Into the Woods . Thank goodness for co-stars who think quick on their feet.
Unfortunately, scary on-set injuries are all too common. Here are 17 celebrities who had close calls while filming.
Mark Wahlberg
This incident was extremely scary, even for a tough guy like Wahlberg. On the set of action movie Lone Survivor, mortar exploded near Wahlberg’s face — a foot-and-a-half away to be exact.

During the filming of Young Guns 2, a startled horse dragged Phillips through the set. The incident left the Longmire actor’s arm so severely broken that it required more than two hours of surgery to repair.
